Which iPad model?
Basic iPad (9th/10th gen): Great for most people. YouTube, Netflix, browsing, light productivity, drawing with Apple Pencil. The "I just want an iPad" option.
iPad Air: More power, better screen, better accessories. For more creative work or if you want something nicer without going full Pro.
iPad Pro: Serious creative work, photo/video editing, or if you want the absolute best screen and performance. Best keyboard accessory support.
Apple Pencil compatibility
Check which iPad generation because Apple Pencil 1 and 2 aren't interchangeable. We list compatibility in descriptions. If listing doesn't include Pencil, buy separately.
Are older iPads still worth it?
Even older iPads handle media, browsing, reading perfectly. iPad 7th gen from 2019 still runs current iPadOS great for typical use. Unless you need specific new features or serious processing power, you don't need latest model.
